Eugenie Bouchard:
The world number 66 upset No. 12 seed Ana Ivanovic 6-3 6-3 in second round. The match was moved to Centre court from an outside court on short notice after second-seeded Victoria Azarenka withdrew with an injury.
Sergiy Stakhovsky:
The world number 116 stunned defending champion Roger Federer 6-7(5) 7-6(5) 7-5 7-6(5) in the second round to end the tennis legend's streak of reaching 36 consecutive grand slam quarter-finals.
Stakhovsky, who had never beaten a top 15 player in his career, said after his sensational win: "I'm still in disbelief that actually happened."
"When you play Roger Federer at Wimbledon, it's like you're playing two persons. First you play Roger Federer and then you play his ego."
Steve Darcis:
The world number 135 caused a sensational upset when he thrashed 12-times Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal 7-6(4) 7-6(8) 6-4 in the first round.
Darcis, nicknamed "The Shark", however, was forced to withdraw from the tournament and did not even make it onto the court to play his second round match against Lukasz Kubot because of a shoulder injury.
Michelle Larcher de Brito:
The Portugese firebrand and 131st-ranked qualifier defeated third seed Maria Sharapova 6-3 6-4 in the second round
Monica Puig:
The 65th-ranked Puerto Rican upset fifth seed Sara Errani 6-3 6-2 on the first day of 2013 Wimbledon on June 25. Puig hit 35 winners against the stunned Errani.
Laura Robson:
The local favorite and 38th-ranked Robson upset number 10 seed Maria Kirilenko 6-3 6-4 in the first round.
Karolina Pliskova:
The 21-year-old Czech, ranked 77 in the world, prove to be too strong for 13th-seeded Nadia Petrova in the first round as she cruised to a 6-3 6-2 win.
Tsvetana Pironkova:
The 72nd-ranked Bulgarian thrashed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the No. 21 seed, 6-0 6-1 in the first round.
Vesna Dolonc:
The 23-year-old Serbian, ranked No. 97, upset No. 16 seed Jelena Jankovic 7-5 6-2 in the second round.
Dustin Brown:
Dreadlocked Wimbledon qualifier Dustin Brown has no coach and used to travel to tournaments in a camper van but on 27 June 2013, he enjoyed his greatest success at a grand slam by knocking out former champion Lleyton Hewitt.
After wearing down Hewitt with a 6-4 6-4 6-7(6) 6-2 victory, the 189th-ranked Brown said: "I have been close to winning big matches but never quite got it together.
Petra Cetkovska:
The Czech, ranked No. 196, beat ninth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki 6-2 6-2 in the second round. Wozniacki injured her ankle during the match, but Cetkovska focussed on the task at hand and won in 75 minutes.
Karin Knapp:
The 25-year-old Italian, ranked 104th in the world, trumped No. 27 seed Lucie Safarova 4-6 6-4 6-4 in the second round.
Camila Giorgi:
The 93rd ranked Italian had to win two tie-breakers en route to edging out the 22nd-ranked Sorana Cirstea 7-6(7) 7-6(6) in the second round.
