Want to enjoy a native Android experience on your computer? Now it is possible thanks to WindowsAndroid, a new software that allows you to run Android on a pure and without emulations way on your PC.
Running Android apps on a computer is not too new. For a while this is possible thanks to some software like BlueStacks, which allows us to emulate Android apps on both Windows and Mac. However, a tool that allows Android apps to run on a computer but natively it is innovative. And that is what makes WindowsAndroid.
This software runs Android as a native application on Windows using the Windows kernel installed on Linux. When I say “native” I mean that it is not an emulation, but a pure Android experience.
WindowsAndroid is based on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich but the development team is already working to port newer versions. WindowsAndroid allows you to enjoy a full Android experience, including support for gapps (you have to flash them separately). It also includes support for a wide variety of screen resolutions providing the right interface for each case. For example, if you are using a screen with a lower resolution to 1280 x 800, will show the phone interface by default, but if the resolution is better, will show the interface optimized for tablets.
